Nearly 200K workers in Hochul’s $11B Medicaid program will hold vote to unionize — and it could mean bigger bills

New York’s massive healthcare union 1199SEIU officially filed paperwork with the National Labor Relations Board Tuesday for an election to organize the more than 200,000 New Yorkers who get paid through Medicaid to care for a disabled or elderly loved one via a program called CDPAP.
